Kaiser Senior Advantage PLUS - outrageous demand letter?

My wife has Medicare coverage for dialysis thru Kaiser's Senior Advantage.


We signed up for an additional $20 per month dental coverage called Senior Advantage Plus.


We try to pay 3 months at a time but we have trouble paying bills before they send a TERMINATION letter.


It really is a TERMINATION letter because they threaten to notify CMS (Center for Medicaid Services) and discontinue dialysis. She clearly would die.

Reply:Ask Kaiser to take this amount directly out of your part B social Security or have the premiums automatically deducted from your bank account. This will solve the problem.
Reply:confused === you have trouble paying because you do not have the money or because they will not take advance payments or they have goofie payment terms/plans!!!! if it is the first the only advise i can give you is to just insure you set aside the money for them before you pay anything else --- about payment if you call 1800 395 7085 they will tell you about how you can either have a credit card or a direct payment from you checking account to avoid you getting canceled before your payments arrives!!!
Reply:they will send a notice of termination but have to cover you for 30 days past the notice. Sort of like an eviction notice is done.
Reply:This is a prime example of why we in US must DEMAND universal halthcare coverage NOW........You need to contact state legislator/sentaor and demand to speak with them about crisis in america....





Also, please look into better coverage than Kaier...they are a nightmare to deal with, have terminated coverage, have DENIED care and ALLOWED patients to DIE due to their lack of approval for COVERED conditions......they should be investigated but have not and when anything is looked into they somehow come out clean......I once saw an interview with a former employee so frightened of the system and people she would not show her face or allow her name to be used.......she told how they denied people whp PAID for coverage and how they justify it.......they are a nightmare.....they are a perfect reason why we need universal gpvernment health care coverage.
