Wisdom tooth pushing back molar sideways..does it need to be extracted?

on the bottom left side of my gum, i have a wisdom tooth growing in. but today i noticed that my 12-year molar has been pushed to the right slightly, towards my tongue. also the flat part is tilting slightly to my tongue. will my wisdom tooth need to be removed? and how soon? it hasn't broken the gum yet. if i do end up having to get it removed, how much will it cost? i have no dental coverage =(

Most people do not have enough room in their mouths for their wisdom and yes it does need to be removed. If you have good credit, most oral surgeons offices have a loan program you have to apply for. Other wise, call around and see if there is someone that can take a payment plan from you. Also, call your local health dept. and see if they can put you on a sliding scale due to income. It will cost at least 2-500 dollars (depending on if a dentist can pull it, or if it needs to be surgically removed) , but call around and get quotes.....maybe someone would be willing to work with you. Don't wait for it to get infected, they will have to put you on an antibiotic and let that kill the infection before they can touch you and it could take a week or more for the infection to go away. Do it as soon as you find someone who will work with u.
Reply:Girl you better get some dental insurance ASAP or see if your health insurance will cover oral surgery because you actually DO need to get those wisdom teeth removed ASAP or they will ruin the alignment of the rest of your teeth.
Reply:if its causing you pain and moving your teeth it should be removed. if you wait too long to have this done then your wisdom tooth will continue to move up and move more than one tooth. this will in the end be more expensive and possibly lead to using braces or a retainer to move your teeth back in place. you can call local offices. sometimes they do consults and they can discuss payment options.
Reply:you really have to get it removed soon. I had all 4 of mine taken out at once. The dr told me that if they were left in theyd serisoly screw up the positions of my teeth, and I also had braces. If I remember right it cost 500 dollers but that was for all 4. I'd say if u arent sure u should go to an oral surgeon and get xrays and see what they think.
