In need of health care...?

I live in BC and am nearing the end of my studies at school. I am married with 2 children ( young ). We haven't had personal health care or dental coverage for about 7 months. My wife works full time but we need to wait 3 more months for her company to begin covering us. We really need dental coverage - free or uber cheap. I cant afford to pay out of pocket and we need dental work done soon. Mostly for the kids. Were can I look to apply for free or cheap coverage so I can save my family major cash on medical coverage? PLEASE HELP!!

have you looked in the blue pages of your phone book? most cities have emergency coverage that will enable you to get free dental care provided it is causing you pain or discomfort.


check out the social services page. they have a variety of plans to help out lower income families. for example in ontario we have the trillium health plan for low income families which helps to pay for perscriptions, as well dental coverage.

If you just need dental cleaning see if you can find a hygienist in your area........charges less.





One word to the wise: When you are uninsured or underinsured it behooves you to take excellent preventative care. You can make sure that your children brush their teeth regularly and thoroughly, floss, use fluoride rinse, and avoid sugary sweets and sodas. You and your wife can exercise regularly to stay healthy and wash your hands often during this time of year to help prevent the spreading of germs.


Eat good healthy foods and get good rest, take proper care of your body and this will help keep you in tip top shape for when you are uninsured.
