Mother in law is 59, was recently divorced, what can she do to get medical?

Hi, my mother in law was recently divorced after 40 years of marriage and was left with 2 years of alimony for 1500 a month, she will be renting a place to live and paying utilities but this has left her extremely depressed. She is too young for medicare but what can she do to get medical coverage that she can afford, i dont think medicaid covers single woman with grown children? we are in Texas, anyone know locally county programs? or medical programs she could get for medical and or mental and or dental coverage? thank you.

I am on SSI for depression/breast cancer. Contact SSA and see what she'll be eligible for after the alimony, if she was married to him 40 yrs, she gets his SS after he dies.
