I will be 65 in a couple of months and will lose my dental coverage. I have had the same dentist for 37 yrs and want to keep him, but he does not have "in network" plans. All the senior plans I have contacted only use "their" own dentists. Does anyone know of a Senior Health Care Plan with dental coverage that lets you use your own dentist and doesnot make you choose from their lists? Thanks alot.
Senior Health Care?
good question, really! -- jas
Reply:SOme of the plans have delta as a company. Be careful though, a lot of the plans cover little. Your premium can actually be more tha if you would have just paid for the cleaning yourself. You can tell the dentist you only want the prophy twice a year, exam once a year and xrays limited to bite wings once a year. If the prophy is 85, that is only $16 a month to pay for it your self. In the event you hit big dollar items, it is usually only a couple of hundred in help. The wording is - we pay 100% of what we allow. If they allow 10 and he charges 100 you pay 90 any way.
Reply:My wife goes to the dental college. she saves a lot and is very happy. Have asked your dentist about a payment plan??
Reply:Have you asked your dentist if he takes any dental discounts plans. They are great! I have Ameriplan it cost only $11.95 a month. There phone # is 1-800-784-1719. Find out if your dentist takes them
